MODULE ONE: VISUALIZING THE HARVEST

 

CTI 101: DISCIPLESHIP VISION & STRATEGIES FOR SPIRITUAL HARVEST (3 units)

 

Course Description:

 

The initial call of Jesus Christ to men was to be spiritually reproductive: “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.” His final command, that of the Great Commission (Matt 28: 17-20), also challenged followers to spiritual reproduction.  Using the analogy of the natural harvest, this course focus on promises of spiritual harvest,   things that prevent harvest, and the keys to effective harvest.  It communicates the vision which the remainder of Institute training equips student to fulfill.

 

MODULE TWO: EMPOWERING DISCIPLES TO SEE THE VISION

 

CTI 102: FOUNDATIONS OF PRAYER & FAITH  (3 units)

 

Course Description:

 

This course stresses the importance of proper spiritual foundations for life and ministry by focusing on foundations of the Christian faith identified in             Hebrews 6:1:  Repentance, faith, baptism, laying on of hands, resurrection, and eternal judgment.  Church growth principles and community outreach are emphasized.

 

CTI 103: FOUNDATIONS OF THE GOSPEL & KINGDOM LIVING  (3 units)

 

Course Description:

 

The “Gospel of the Kingdom” shall be preached in all the world before the return of the Lord Jesus Christ (Matthew 24:14).  Understanding of Kingdom principles is necessary if one is to spread the Gospel of the Kingdom.  This course focuses on patterns and principles of Kingdom living applicable to life and ministry.  Church growth principles and community outreach are emphasized.

 

CTI 104: DISCIPLESHIP & STRATEGIES FOR SPIRITUAL WARFARE (3 units

 

Course Description:

This course moves participants beyond the natural world into the realm of the spirit. Tactics of the enemy are analyzed and strategies of spiritual warfare assuring victory over the principalities and powers of the spirit world are explained.  The Visiion & Mission of God individual plan for the student is strongly emphasized. This course is the first step to understanding what a personal relationship with God is and how He communicates through dreams & visions to direct paths when He choose and calls individuals to ministry.  Church growth principles and community outreach are emphasized.

 

CTI 105: MINISTRY OF THE GIFT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT (3 units)

 

Course Description:

 

This study focuses on the ministry of the Holy Spirit, Spiritual fruit, and Spiritual gifts.  Students are guided in discovery of their own Spiritual gifts and position of ministry in the Body of Christ.

 

CTI 106: FOUNDATIONS OF KNOWING GOD’S VOICE (3 units)

 

Course Description:

 

This course explains how God speaks to men &  women today and how to find His general and specific plans for life.   A Christian model for decision making is presented, along with guidelines for overcoming wrong decisions, steps to take if you have missed the will of God, and methods for dealing with questionable practices.

 

CTI 107: FOUNDATIONS OF COMMUNITY OUTREACH EVANGELISM STRATEGIES  (3 units)

Course Description:

 

The Gospel of the Kingdom spreads throughout the world as leaven in bread dough.  The leaven is small and hidden but its impact is unlimited.  Effective evangelism strategies are taught, including detailed instruction on the deliverance ministry, church planting, and techniques of networking between ministries. Church growth principles and community outreach are emphasized (Matt 28:17-20).

 

CTI 108: BASIC CHAPLAINCY (3 units)

 

CERTIFICATE

 

Course Description:

 

This course empowers outreach workers for the battlefield to provide bonafide training services, which minister to both spiritual and emotional needs of all individuals.  Seven (7) Prerequisite courses required for Consecration & Ordination (CTI 101--CTI 107).

 

CTI 109: FOUNDATIONS OF CREATIVE BIBLE STUDY METHODS (3 units)

Course Description:

 

This course equips students for personal study of the Word of God after the conclusion of Institute training.  Students learn how to study the Bible by book, chapter, paragraph, verse, and word.  Other methods taught include biographical, devotional, theological, typo-logical, and topical.  Special guidelines for studying Bible poetry and prophecy are presented and students are taught methods of charting and outlining.

 

CTI 110: FOUNDATIONS OF BASIC BIBLE SURVEY I: OLD TESTAMENT (3 units)

Course Description:

 

This survey provides an overview of the Old Testament.  Study outlines of each book of the Bible are provided for further development by the student.

 

CTI 111: FOUNDATIONS OF BASIC BIBLE SURVEY II: NEW TESTAMENT (3 units)

This survey provides an overview of the New Testament.  Study outlines of each book of the Bible are provided for further development by the student.

 

MODULE THREE:  MULTIPLYING THE TRAINED DISCIPLES

 

CTI 112: FOUNDATIONS OF DEVELOPING A BIBLICAL WORLD VIEW (3 units)

Course Description:

This course examines the Biblical world view from Genesis through Revelation.  God’s plan for the nations of the world from beginning of time detailed. Current worldwide spiritual need is also presented.  Church growth principles and community outreach are emphasized. 

 

CTI 113: THE GOSPEL PREACHING & TEACHING TACTICS  (3 units)

This course examines the methods Jesus used to teach and preach the Gospel.  Students are taught how to prepare and present lessons and how to teach and preach the Gospel.

 

*CTI 114: THE FISHERMAN'S SPIRITUAL MULTIPLICATION METHODOLOGIES (3 units)

God’s plan for spiritual multiplication is presented. This study reveals how a single Christian can be responsible for the multiplication of thousands of trained and motivated believers.  Church growth principles and community outreach are emphasized.

 

CTI 115: MANIFESTING GOD'S POWER PRINCIPLES FOR HARVEST (3 units)

The early church was born in a demonstration of the power of God.  Power principles taught in this course equip students for spiritual harvest and moves them from being spectators to demonstrators of the power of God.

CTI 117: FOUNDATIONS & PRINCIPLES OF ENVIRONMENTAL ANALYSIS  (3 units)

Students learn environmental analysis on an individual, church, and organizational basis.  They learn how to analyze the spiritual environment of a village, city, state or nation prior to penetrating it with the Gospel message.

 

CTI 118: GOD'S  MASTER PLAN FOR MANAGEMENT BY OBJECTIVES (3 units)

Course Description:

 

Everything Jesus did centered on the great purposes of God. CTI 119: FOUNDATIONS OF SPIRITUAL MOBILIZATION METHODOLOGIES PRACTICUM (3 units)

This course presents methods for mobilizing spiritual forces for God and explains the practical application of the Chaplain Training Institute vision to specific areas of ministry.   Referral courses in various areas of ministry are also available through this course.

CTI 121: FOUNDATIONS OF HEALING & BATTLE FOR THE BODY (3 units)

 

Course Description:

 

A study of all the Bible teaches about divine healing.  Complete guidelines for receiving and ministering healing.  Church growth principles and community outreach are emphasized.

For those who encounter individuals reacting to trauma related grief reactions in the course of their community outreach work.

 

*CTI 123: HOMICIDE SURVIVOR COUNSELING  (3 units)

 

CERTIFICATE

 

Course Description:

 

For those who encounter individuals who are dealing with a family member, colleague, or friend who are murdered, the death is sudden, violent, final and/or incomprehensible. The loved one is no longer there & the shared plans and dreams are no longer possible. The loss of the relationship will be grieved in different ways by all those who felt close to the victim because their relationships with the victim were all different.

 

CTI 124: FOUNDATIONS OF UNDERSTANDING INTERCESSORY PRAYER  (3 units)

Course Description:

 

An intercessory prayer guide that includes guidelines on how to pray, what to pray for, when not to pray, resources for prayer, international intercession and factors that hinder prayer.

 

*CTI 125: JAIL & PRISON COUNSELING & MINISTRY  (3 units)

 

CERTIFICATE

 

Course Description:

 

A complete guide to jail and prison ministry.  This training includes guidelines for visiting and writing inmates, conducting group services inside an institution, reaching out to families of inmates and ministry on death row.

 

*CTI 126: RE-ENTRY/REINTEGRATION COUNSELING & MINISTRY (3 units)

 

CERTIFICATE 

 

Course Description:

.A complete guide to jail and prison ministry.  This training includes guidelines for assiting ex-offenders with housing needs and job training.  Students are empowered with skills needed to conduct or help conduct group services outside of an institution by reaching out to ex-offenders through counseling and ministry.   According to the Reentry Policy Council, a project of the Council of State Governments Justice Center,  Nationally, about 650,000 people are released from prison annually, and 2/3 of state prisoners are rearrested within three years of release.
